However, establishing a causal role and the underlying mechanisms remains elusive. To reasonably evaluate water resources carrying capacity (WRCC) of karst areas, based on characteristics of urban water resources utilization in karst areas, this study put forward DPESBRM (Driver-Pressure-Engineering water shortage-State-Ecological basis-Response-Management) concept model the first time to build an urban evaluation index system of WRCC in karst areas. Based on this index system and in allusion to uncertainties that exist during the evaluation process, a cloud model is used to represent index weights and perform comprehensive evaluation calculations, which fully considers the randomness and ambiguity of evaluation objects. This systematic review aimed to investigate how individuals across the psychosis spectrum respond to social exclusion and rejection. We systematically searched PubMed and PsycINFO databases to identify studies that met the following eligibility criteria 1) investigated social exclusion or rejection, 2) targeted a psychosis-related sample or symptoms, and 3) was an empirical study. 13 studies satisfied our eligibility criteria and were subsequently reviewed. Tyrosinase inhibitors have gained interest in the cosmetics industry to prevent hyperpigmentation and skin-related disorders by inhibiting melanin production. It has been reported that several Aloe species exhibit anti-tyrosinase efficacy in vitro. In this study, the exudates of thirty-nine African Aloe species were screened to identify species and compounds with anti-tyrosinase activity. Qualitative screening revealed that twenty-nine Aloe species exhibited tyrosinase inhibition activity with one to three active bands. Quantitative screening was performed for 29 species and expressed as IC50 values. Three species were further analysed and subsequently, aloesin and aloeresin A was isolated from A. ferox and plicataloside from A. plicatilis and A. chabaudii. Aloeresin A was determined to be a substrate of mushroom tyrosinase. Dose-response assays showed that aloesin (IC50?=?31.5?μM) and plicataloside (IC50?=?84.1?μM) exhibited moderate to weak activity. Molecular docking scores for plicataloside were considerably lower than for aloesin (P? less then ?0.01), confirming its lower IC50. We sought to identify metabolites associated with early-life wheeze, allergic sensitization, and childhood asthma.
We conducted a nested case-control study using Environmental influences on Child Health Outcomes Program cohorts for discovery and independent replication. Wheeze and allergic sensitization were defined by number of wheeze episodes and positive specific IgE at age 1 year, respectively. Asthma was defined as physician diagnosis of asthma at age 5 or 6 years. We used untargeted metabolomics, controlling for observed and latent confounding factors, to assess associations between the plasma metabolome and early-life wheeze, allergy, and childhood asthma.
